Heiko Funk Appointed to the Executive Board of Bausch+Ströbel as of October 1

He will assume responsibility for Manufacturing, Assembly, Procurement, and Logistics.

Heiko Funk is returning to his professional roots: The 57-year-old, who lives in Bühlerzell and has strong ties to the region, will become a member of the Executive Board of Bausch+Ströbel SE+Co. KG in Ilshofen on October 1, 2026.

As a member of the Executive Board, Funk will be responsible for the areas of manufacturing, assembly, procurement, and logistics. He has been familiar with Bausch+Ströbel and packaging technology for many years. After completing his commercial training, he began his career in the industry with Bausch+Ströbel in the mid-1990s. Initially, he worked as a project engineer and later as a sales department manager.

“We remember Heiko Funk very fondly from his time with us,” emphasizes shareholder and Executive Board member Markus Ströbel. “We are therefore particularly pleased that he is now returning to Bausch+Ströbel and will contribute his experience as a member of our Executive Board in the future.”

Following his time at Bausch+Ströbel, Funk held various specialist and management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH, Packaging Technology, and the OPTIMA packaging group. During this time, he gained extensive international experience, particularly in strategic procurement, supply chain logistics, and the management of large cross-functional projects. His areas of responsibility included global central procurement and central logistics, as well as executive management functions.

For Heiko Funk, returning to Bausch+Ströbel is also of great personal significance:

“When I walked into the Bausch+Ströbel building again, it was a very emotional moment for me. I was deeply moved to return to this place. This is where my career in packaging technology began. The fact that the circle is now complete and that I am returning to Bausch+Ströbel means a great deal to me,” says Heiko Funk.

“We are delighted that Heiko Funk can begin his role at the beginning of October,” explains Wilfried Bantle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bausch+Ströbel. “With his industry expertise and extensive experience in production, logistics, and supply chain management, he brings important qualifications to his new position.”
